- PRESS: FIRST EVER CERTIFIED ENERPHIT BUILDING IN SCOTLAND
Posted: 13/08/2018 by Thomas Robinson Architects
Thomas Robinson Architects recently achieved certification from the Passivhaus Institute in Darmstadt in Germany for what is the first building to be certified in Scotland to meet the Passive house refurbishment “Enerphit” Standard. The standard exists to define a level of comfort and energy performance to aim for when upgrading existing buildings. From the building owner’s perspective achieving this target will give the owner a building that far exceeds what they could expect to get from a new build building in terms of energy performance and comfort and if the brief was simply to comply with the Scottish Building Standards of today.0
