    About Us

    Thomas Robinson Architects is a thriving architectural practice working across Scotland, delivering exceptional designs and innovative solutions. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Administrative Assistant to join our unique team.

    In this key role, you’ll work closely with our Head of Finance and Office Manager to support the smooth running of our operations.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    As our Finance Administrative Assistant, you’ll take on a variety of responsibilities that keep our projects and practice running efficiently, including:

    • Supporting the Head of Finance with office-wide financial activities.
    • Maintaining and updating project finance, time-tracking, and resource management software.
    • Assisting with scheduling project resources and reporting on project progress.
    • Helping architects manage time sheets and producing insightful workload reports.
    • Preparing invoices and processing business receipts and supplier invoices.
    • Taking an active role in workload meetings and operational planning.
    • Supporting the team with general administrative tasks, including answering calls.

     

    What We’re Looking For

    We’re seeking a candidate who brings the right skills and a great attitude to the team:

    • Experience: A background in financial administration is desirable, with at least three years in an office setting preferred.
    • Tech-Savviness: Proficiency in Office 365, particularly Excel, and the ability to navigate various different financial software’s with ease.
    • Education: Certificate of Higher Education.

    Details

    Hours:

    • 22.5 – 30 per week
    • Monday-Wednesday or Monday-Thursday

     

    Salary:

    • £24,000.00 - £28,000.00 - pro rata / dependant on experience
    • Holidays - standard pro rata

     

    Start Date:

    • As soon as possible

    As part of the selection process, we will ask you to undertake a Management Styles Quiz.

    This is a fully office-based role, and you must be able to commute by car to G63 0EU.

    Full training on the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) project process and fee structure will be provided, giving you the tools to succeed in this unique role.
