But what is a luxury home? Back in 2018, Tom Robinson wrote an article for The Scottish Field magazine answering that question. The full architectural team was consulted. We knew that luxury equates with beautiful design and with attention to detail. Tom wrote, “For us architects, a grand mansion complete with all mod cons will only feel luxurious if all the details are right, from the unassuming curve of a bannister or well-executed cut of a stone detail to a perfectly laid parquet floor.”  
 

Luxury is always in the detail. Yes, as experienced architects for luxury homes, we are often designing something large and impressive, but it will only feel like a luxury property if the small things are right. Every aspect – from the chimney piece to the door surrounds – must be designed well, must function with ease, and must look beautiful.
